Years at Newton: Second Year
I graduated May 2011 from Western State College in Gunnison Colorado. I recieved my Bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science with an emphasis in physical education. I enjoy waterskiing, camping, and riding my dirt bike. I have a passion for sports, exercise, and kids and I am extremely excited to share that with you!
Prestige Field Trip March 22nd
Money, permission slip, and waiver form due by
Friday March 15th
Each student is required to have a lock purchased through the Newton Physical Education Department. If students don't have a lock from the previous year new locks are $6 and used locks are $3. 6th grade must purchase a new lock for $6. Students can also purchase a Newton PE shirt for $5 but it is not a requirement.
Missed classes: If students miss class for any reason they will need to fill out a PE makeup slip. They can be found on the back of my office door or on the webpage. Students will need to do 45 minutes of cardiovascular fitness and have a parent/guardian or coach sign it. Students will have two weeks from the date of the absence to turn the sheet into me. I will update the grade in the gradebook when I do grading that week.
Weekly writing: Students will have a weekly writing assignment that is posted below under each week. Students should answer the question in their Google docs account. The response should be atleast 5 sentences long and include detail and examples. A paragraph response will be due each week on Wednesday by midnight. Students if you have questions please come see me. I would love to help you before school, after school, or during your lunch.
