What our day looks like:

SSR-20 minutes of silent sustained reading

Quick Write-10 minutes to warm up our writers voice

Focus Unit-10-20 minutes with models, mentor texts, examples and a focus on the current unit of study

Workshop-the remainder of the class is for workshop time, independent & guided study which could include: skills workbook, writing  pieces, vocabulary development, conferencing with a teacher, conferencing with a peer or working towards our learning goals.
